Books in Public Space
In many public places books that you can borrow for free have recently appeared in the Czech Republic. The trend of public space libraries can be traced also in the Hradec Králové Region. For example, by working with Visitors to the local swimming pool can also borrow something to read with MěK in Kostelec nad Orlicí. In Trutnov, a book-writer located in Jirásek Square is attracted to read.
Well-being with a Book
Is the name of the event for children. It was realised by the municipal library in Rychnov nad Kněžnou. In 2018, as part of March - the month of readers, the second year of this event took place. The aim of this project is to support reading and bring children closer to the book in a fun and funny way.
Mini Congress of Children's Readers
The Mini Congress of Children's Readers has a long tradition. One the main initiators were the Municipal Library of Náchod. Every year the libraries of the region alternate in the mini congress organization. The organizing library is also a host organisation in the given year and prepares a rich cultural program for children and their librarian, including visiting the library and exploring nearby places.
Age Is Just a Number
Study and Research Library in Hradec Králové is not only for students and scientists... It devotes its time to seniors in a long term. Even in 2018, the Regional Library launched a campaign dedicated to this age group. Work with computers, smartphones, lectures about healthy eating, memory training courses, discounted registration and many other services were included in this year's offer for older people.
