Mácha track

Where: Library of K. H. Mácha Litoměřice

A nationwide literary competition announced since 2009 by the Library of K. H. Mácha in Litoměřice. You can compete in two categories, the first is for high school students, the second can be for adults. Contestants always have the task of creating a text on a given topic, with the exception of the topic being assigned in some grades and a specific genre. This year, the contestants have to create a story about "Uncertain Future". The winners will always receive book awards and their texts will be published in a special library newspaper issue.

Third Age

Where: Louny Municipal Library

A lifelong learning training cycle. The project aims to improve the quality of life, focusing on the often socially excluded group of people, contributing to the long-term self-sufficient life of the elderly. The program using otherness as a principle of personality development brings, among other things, a new principle of volunteering, not only by lecturers, but also by trainees who perform voluntary work for the library.

Where: North Bohemian Research Library in Ústí nad Labem

The project is a follow-up to the cycle of "(Not) Dad is reading", which has been regularly held in the Children's Department of the North Bohemian Research Library for several years. In addition to a loud reading and a common reading experience, the aim is to present a remarkable vocation to children through a commented demonstration and a children's workshop. As part of this project, children have already had the opportunity to meet, for example, a boat captain, a farmer, a stonemason or a mountain rescuer.
