CHILDREN READ TO BLIND CHILDREN

Already 16 titles of audio books recorded by children under the project "Children Read to Blind Children" were published by the Regional Research Library in Liberec. For this project, the library received a price the Library of the Year 2017 from the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic in the category of a significant achievement in providing public library and information services.

SIGNBOOK

The Regional Research Library in Liberec issued a first-of-its-kind in 2017 - a SIGNBOOK. It is intended not only for deaf users and their families, but for all those interested in Czech sign language.

LITERARY CLUB

The Municipal Library of Jablonec nad Nisou has founded a Literary Club for children who enjoy immersing themselves in stories and working with them. 

VIRTUAL UNIVERSITY OF 3rd AGE

The Municipal Library of Semily was the first consulting centre of the Virtual University of the Third Age in the Liberec Region. The University of Seniors is attended by about sixty clients from Semily and its surroundings. Regular meetings every fortnight are accompanied by excursions and joint meetings in non-traditional places. Students already know each other and form an excellent collective. They learn a lot at the courses and they take working on final tests as a challenge. The Virtual University of the Third Age enriches the library's program offer and engages seniors in its activities.

SENIOR PROGRAMME

It is a complex of educational, cultural, physical and relaxation activities that are prepared by the Municipal Library of Česká Lípa for users of this age category. It is a wide-ranging project that includes traditional lectures and educational lectures and thematic discussions, an activation offer of special exercises, workshops or brain jogging. KLUB 60+ has been operating at the housing estate in Česká Lípa for the fourth year. It is open to all who find themselves in the given age group, who are active, love to learn, entertain, seek the company.

CITY CAMP

- The Holiday with Book project was prepared by the Municipal Library of Česká Lípa in collaboration with the House of Children and Youth Libertin. The library provided a program of the whole week, where there was a trip to Liberec with a program in the beautiful Regional Library, a meeting with the author and illustrator of children's books, and a "fighting game" in the park and the surrounding area. Every day, an attractive program was prepared for the children, always based on one selected book that everyone could literally experience.

WE PLAY THEATER

- for kindergartens, first grade elementary schools sometimes for the general public fairy-tales are played by the Municipal Library workers of Česká Lípa. Mostly they are their own simple dramatizations of folk tales or their own puppet performances. In the repertoire there is a fairy tale About Budulínek, About Dog and Cat, About Goldfish, Gingerbread House, About Red Riding Hood, About Bad Goat and more. The puppet theatre primarily serves to portray the legends associated with our city and region. It is worth mentioning that these own theatre performances were played in the library 51 times for more than 1,000 children's visitors only in 2017.
